Stuffed Critters
The Ted Stevens airport in Anchorage is named after Alaska's senator Ted Stevens. It features local color as many airports do, in this case, among other things, stuffed Alaskan critters.
The view out the front window of the Anchorage airport with an impressive view of the mountains and new street lights.
So let's bring on the critters.
Polar bears. I am told when you're within smelling distance of them it's an us or them situation and someone will have to go.
Let's stick with the white color theme and move on to the albino beaver.
Still going with white, we move on to the Ram. I believe this is a type of sheep and not a mountain goat. But who knows, I could be wrong. Whoever put up these exhibits thought that the identity of the animals was self-evident enough that they didn't have to insult the tourists by labeling them.
Abandoning the white theme, we move on to brown colored animals, in this case a bear. These will also eat people if pressed, but unlike the polar bears will not make a point of it.
And a wolf, this one needing a little fluffing of its coat. Wolves eat people infrequently but will eat your dog or cat. Don't leave them outside.
